Easy Baby Led Weaning Fritters
These basic fritters are not only nutritious for your baby but they are a great start to baby led weaning foods as they are soft enough to eat and provide good squishy texture for baby to hold.
This is my first of many healthy and yummy recipes to come for the little ones as I myself have been busy raising my twins and being creative in the kitchen.

Ingredients –
1 large broccoli head (cut into small florets)
1 large cauliflower head (cut into small florets)
2 large eggs
1 1/3 self raising flour (or 1 cup almond flour works fine too, just won’t be as fluffy)
1 teaspoon crushed garlic
1/2 parmesan cheese
olive oil for cooking
Method –
Bring a large pot of water to the boil, add broccoli and cauliflower florets and cook for 6-8 minutes or until tender. Drain and place the tender florets into a large mixing bowl.
Use a fork to slightly mash the broccoli and cauliflower. Set aside 4 cups and when cooled down add the self raising / or almond flour, eggs, cheese, garlic and mix to combine.
Heat a good splash of oil in a large fry pan over medium-high heat and cook rounded tablespoons of the fritter mixture in batches, for 2-3 minutes on each side or until crisp and golden (add extra oil as required).
Place the cooked fritters on kitchen paper to absorb excess oil.
Enjoy!
